Today the field of renewable energy is becoming one of the most preferable issues by many researchers with the main objective of exploiting abundant sources of energy effectively and efficiently in such a way that their use would cause no pollution to the environment and depletion of resources. Power generation from renewable resources especially from solar, wind, hydropower and biomass are expected to be much more important fields of study for the future for smooth transition from fossil fuels to other sustainable energy sources. The need of this transition is clearly seen especially in these days that the energy price of the world is increasing at an alarming rate to the extent of crippling economy of developing countries and hampering them from reaching their goals of poverty reduction. In addition, the well accustomed news of the catastrophic disasters in many countries which is the result of environmental changes and loses of lives is serving as a sign for the need of this transition. The journey to sustainable path of power generation would be successful if both developed as well as developing nations put emphasis on renewable energy resources like wind and solar energy.
