Communion is an inexhaustible mystery -- a gift of God's grace. Yet because it is familiar we sometimes take it for granted. Though theologians may disagree about exactly what happens in and through the sacrament, we all agree that something happens -- at the Lord's Supper we are changed. Gondola explores the wonder of communion in these captivating and well-illustrated sermons. How often are sermons engaging, edifying, and instructive... all at once? There is also careful attention to the text that prevents lapsing into a bland folksiness. Rev. Bennie E. Whiten Jr. Minister and President, Massachusetts Conference United Church of Christ Alex A.
