Writing is the career I would have chosen if money had not been an issue. I loved working as a surgical research technician, then as a French teacher to elementary-level students. As a wife and mother, I honed my love of writing with the growth of reading excellent writing of other authors. College-bound children motivated me to return to school to study nursing. As a psychiatric nurse, I watched troubled adolescents find motivation and success in their lives, and I felt fulfillment. After thirteen years of nursing, my husband's heart surgery brought me home to care for him. I found time to write and spread my wings publishing a life-style book, They Think I Can Cook-Help! My novel, The Gatehouse, came to me in a dream, and writing it filled my life with joy. My next joy has been writing this book of poetry and short stories, Come In...The Door Is Open. I am pleased to share my soul and imagination with you.
