Autorenporträt
Born Linda Yazzie in rural Yavapai County, Arizona, Trudy Silverheels adopted her colorful nom de plume when she was only eight years old. She spent her early childhood in the American Southwest and her teens in Mexico City. She made her primary home in Houston, Texas, but she kept a retreat house in Mexico, where she did most of her writing. She died peacefully in her sleep whilst preparing the manuscript of Coming Clean.
