This dissertation looks at how the coming out process of urban lesbians, gays, and bisexual men and women affects their religious practices. Particular behaviors examined were religious attendance in a church setting, private religious practices like praying, and intrinsic religiosity. The author traveled to 4 different metropolitan cities in California in order to gather data from participants. The religion focused upon in this paper is the general Christian faith.
