Production and productivity of cereal crops in developing countries are not enough to sustain the poultry and human population. As they are mono-gastric, they compete for grain for their survival. So, there is need and urge to develop scientific and cost effective poultry feeding systems that will reduce the competition to some level. The aim of this work was to identify those gaps and to increase cost effective protein consumption in developing countries with healthy domestic chicken feeding systems. This will help to sustain food security especially in the poor countries.
