This book discusses three main building blocks of Tied Agent compensation. The first of these is the relationship between incentives, allocation of effort, and task performance. Second, the influence of person variables, i.e., different forms of labor-market experience, on the agent's performance is analyzed. Finally, the effect of compensation on agent satisfaction is discussed, using a model of expectancies and reference-point dependent utility.
