Each chapter contains a brief introduction and an outline of the anatomy of the eye and orbit, and utilises an "answering problems" format. Emphasis is placed on the efficacy of modern treatments in ophthalmology and brief historical information is provided where needed. Most chapters remain in the original format of keeping a dialogue to maintain interest rather than a purely didactic approach with bullet points. References are deliberately kept to a minimum and the chapters end with a concise summary to assist the reader with remembering the key points for each topic.

Galloway MBChB, BA, F.R.C.Ophth, MD is a retired Consultant Ophthalmologist based in Nottingham, UK.   Winfried M.K.Amoaku MBChB, F.R.C.S., F.R.C.Ophth, PhD is Associate Professor in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, and Honorary Consultant at the University of Nottingham and University Hospital, Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, UK. He is also Visiting Professor at the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ghana.    Peter H. Galloway MBBS, F.R.C.Ophth is Consultant Ophthalmologist at St James University Hospital, Leeds, UK.   Andrew C. Browning BSc, F.R.C.Ophth, PhD is Consultant Ophthalmologist at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
