Despite the existence of dairy CIGs in Uasin Gishu District, milk production per cow per day has remained low. This study aimed at determining the CIG characteristics and their effectiveness in empowering smallholder dairy farmersin NALEP focal areas of Uasin Gishu Distrct, Kenya. This new knowledge may enhance the strategies of NALEP and various stakeholders in the use of CIGs as avenues for technology dissemination.
