For this reason, I have decided to explore this topic by analysing the creative methods used by the copywriters of certain advertisements and then deciding whether or not these are useful in determining the persuasive value of the language used by advertisers. The decision to study advertising language was also motivated by the fact that this area of study has received little attention in the research literature, and that the use of powerful persuasive messages influence our decision as a consumer society in buying certain products and services.
