Dengue is a disease caused by the bite of a mosquito of the genus Aedes aegypti. It is the most widespread arbovirus in the world and represents a real public health problem for most countries. The dengue epidemic is a disease well present in Côte d'Ivoire with sometimes serious complications, called dengue hemorrhagic or dengue with shock in all categories of people. To date, there is no specific treatment for dengue and no vaccine marketed against it. However, research is underway in several countries. This book presents how research in public health communication through social and behavioral change communication and public education and awareness (SBC/EAC) strategies can help in effective knowledge about dengue prevention.
