Communicating science is a challenge and communication on weather forecasts and climate services is no exception. The best method is still to be found. Scientists and communication experts agree on one thing: that each side must make the effort to better understand the other, and that the relationship between scientists and communication professionals must be based on mutual trust. This book summarizes lessons learnt from four years of work at the interface between communication and effective climate services in the context of building resilience to climate change in Africa.
