The process of standardization in the context of globalisation has its own implications in teaching and learning English language for various purposes. Consequently, there is a felt need to align the communicative competencies of the employees with international benchmarks. This book identified the specific communicative competencies making up the required skill sets for the middle level managerial employees in the selected manufacturing industries of Kanchipuram District. The identified competencies were hierarchically arranged in terms of the most required and the least required for the middle level managerial employees to complete their job routines. These competencies were aligned with International standards as well.
