This book examines the Trekking Tourism role to Community development in Nepal; focus on the Tamang ethical group of Himalayan region for economic development. The research mainly focuses on the contribution of Trekking tourism to improve economic situation on Tamang Community and try to find out the socio-economic and environmental impact of Trekking Tourism to Gatlang village. In 1960/70 Nepal was opening for foreign especially for mountain climber then a small ray of sun has started to rise in the mountain belt. Then the mountain people has got a new a way of living life like trekking Guide, porter, teahouse, homestay, different kind handicraft of the mountain goat and sheep wool, (famous for goat pashmina) Trekking tourism is tools for income source and community development to the Himalayans region Nepal. Some projects were very successful and some are in process among them Tamang heritage trail is also one among them so this study tries to show that does Gatlang village hasimproving the community development process? This book tries to seek how can improve the community economic situation with trekking tourism and how much local people are aware of tourism impact.
