Community engagement is like an approach that raises populations victims of crises to the same level of understanding of the problems they face in order to find solutions together by drawing on the resources provided by humanitarian structures so that, in a spirit of partnership, the Affected localities are finding their new way of life which relieves the pain of everyone. This stems from the growing recognition of the social determinants of development and the importance of community-level action, leadership and ownership in all aspects of policy, research and practice.In short, a successful humanitarian intervention must involve effective community engagement. This process must be continually improved to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of humanitarian interventions.
