This book aims at explaining two popular and empirically proven models of community health analysis and health care interventions development namely PRECEDE-PROCEED and Logic Model. Both the models, in this book, have been applied in analysis and development of health care interventions for the most backward rural communities in India. PRECEDE/PROCEED is a community-oriented participatory model for creating successful community health promotion interventions and has eight phases that provide a framework for the planning of any health intervention involving community. Whereas, Logic Model establishes logical linkages among program resources, activities, outputs, audiences, and short term, intermediate, and long term outcomes having connection with the situation or specific problem. This book also talks about limitations of these two widely used models in the areas of Public Health and Development.
