The concept of community participation in development becomes crucial aspect in relation to sustainable development. Both local and international community's advocate for people involvement in development processes. The need for people centered development is highly recognized in the last few decades, the development should focus on people and not things. Traditional top- down approach to development process is no longer valid; more effort is taken to use bottom-up approach to development. This book, therefore, provide a critical analysis of the community participation in improving primary school education in Tanzania.
