The Himalayan range, a set of mountains stretching over 2400km long and 250 to 400km wide, separates the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan plateau in southern Asia. It is bordered by China (Tibet) to the north, and India, Nepal, and Bhutan to the south. Pakistan, to the west, fights part of the Karakoram, a mountain range extending from the Himalayan landforms, with India.
