The mutual fund industry is one of the dynamic financial investment industries with regards to speed and volume of returns. At the same time there is an element of risk in it considering that its returns are linked with the business performance of the sectors it invests in. Indian mutual fund industry is regulated by the securities and exchange board of India (SEBI). There are 47 mutual fund companies in India, with assets of 9, 04,358 crores under 950+ schemes.
