The aim of the present work was to study and compare the gross and microscopic features of the thyroid glands of two animal species, that were indigenous gazelle (Gazella subgutturosa) and the rams (Ovis aris). Grossly (shape and color) location, of each thyroid glands of each animal were well described and macroscopic measurements were listed in tables and statistical analyzed. In addition to that, the blood supply of the thyroid gland was accomplished by latex injection technique. Histological comparison by the thyroid glands between the two animal species was conducted depending on the differences at their capsule thickness of the lobes and isthmus,the different sized of follicles in their paranchyma, the nature of follicular epithelium such as it's lining, height as well as the presence of colloid substance.
