In order to find a deeper insight about destination attractiveness a structured questionnaire was filled by each 250 respondents from India & Singapore. A study and comparison of the destination competitiveness for international tourists in India and Singapore was carried out. India generates the 4th largest tourist market for Singapore and Indian tourist perception was done. By overcoming the loopholes, hindrances of Indian tourism industry India will compete the destination competitiveness on globe and will be able to utilize its natural and cultural strength and by exploring new avenues of man-made attractions. It will also contribute to increase GDP in terms of foreign exchange earnings, employment. An extensive research can be carried out in future to compare India with other destination.

Dr. Archana Bhatia holds M. Com (Gold Medalist, 1986) and Ph. D. (2013) from M D University. She is Associate Professor, Head and Dean, Department of Commerce, DAV Centenary College, Faridabad. Her research is focused on Tourism and Women issues. She has edited 3 books, authored 12 books, and published more than 60 papers in peer reviewed journals.
