Lecture method of instruction is found to be ineffective in changing the physicians behavior. Modified techniques have been introduced in clinical education with essential ad hoc nature of learning clinical medicine and simulated patients can enable Problem Based Learning to be used to deliver the core curriculum. Such Problem based Learning exposes the students to real world clinical scenarios and problems that are needed to be faced further as professional clinicians and help in evoking thought process in them. Concept maps have started being used as a new mapping technique clubbed with various small group and individual teaching methods. Concept maps have demonstrated their positive effects on students' learning and have been linked to problem based learning as an evaluation tool by researchers. Present study has been carried out to assess the effectiveness of Concept maps as an evaluation tool with modified problem based learning.
