Musical careers are becoming more competitive and stressful. Musicians start with their studies in their early ages without caring about health problems. Violinists face some risk of repetitive stress injury due to long hours of being in one position. This affects the strength and dexterity in the upper limbs of the violinists. It is widely accepted that grip strength and endurance levels in the upper extremities provide an objective index for the functional integrity of upper extremity. This book aims on evaluating the hand strength and endurance among violinists and comparing it with non-violinists, which can be important for determining the effectiveness of treatment strategies.
