The practitioners don't follow this in their performances and it opens a yawning gap in the theory and practice of Indian classical music. For a more scientific and rational interpretation of the relationship between the vadi and samvadi note, an analysis was carried out of the ragas and their alaaps. The data from the books of musicologists were collected and the notations of live performances of different well-known artists were conducted and contrasted.

Irfan Ahmad did his Ph.D. (Microbiology) in 2013 from King George¿s Medical University UP, Lucknow, India. He received brilliant scholar certificate by Swami Vivekanand Shodh Sansthan and also awarded Senior Research Fellowship by Indian Council of Medical research, New Delhi, India. He has been published twelve research publication.
