The aim of this thesis is to compare and evaluate the features of web-based Personal Health Records. Personal Health Records are, in comparison to Electronic Health Records, administered by users and not physicians or health care providers. The user can enter different medical values and thus create a portable database, since he should be able to access his information anytime, if needs be. The thesis analyzes the functions of web-based Personal Health Records and tries to point out the most important ones but also the most necessary ones by comparing their capabilities and establishing general requirements for Personal Health Records. The results describe the most essential functions of web-based Personal Health Records, in order for a user to create his own health profile.
