The study conducted determined the competencies of nurses on the eleven key areas of responsibilities. The study's respondents were made up of the staff nurses, head nurses and nurse supervisors. It utilized a quantitative descriptive research to determine the competencies. An adopted research instrument was used to gather information necessary for the study. It utilized statistical tools such as percentage to describe the respondents profile, the weighted mean to determine the competencies of nurses and the analysis of variance to determine if significant difference exists on the competencies of nurses on the eleven key areas of responsibilities The respondents were composed of sixty-four nurses comprising of staff nurses, head nurses and nurse supervisors. The majority of respondents were young. adults. Significantly, the respondents were dominated by females. In terms of educational attainment, mostly finished Bachelor of Science in Nursing while in most responders have servedthree years or below in their positions.
