Autorenporträt
Born in Germany, Friedrich Kuhlau (1786-1832) later became a Danish citizen and was well regarded as a concert pianist and composer of Danish opera. Deeply influenced by Beethoven, whose work Kuhlau introduced to Copenhagen audiences, he is best known today for his piano compositions.
