This work is a descriptive memoir of the song Baccano!, composed for the Big Belas Band. Its main objective is to describe in detail the compositional process as well as to situate historically the two main influences on the music, the Japanese animation Baccano! and the big bands. The piece was built on two main themes, under which were composed typical jazz accompaniments and an improvisation section - a common artifice in the big band repertoire.

Hugo Leonardo Martins Correa si è laureato in Composizione e Direzione d'orchestra presso la Scuola di Musica e Belle Arti di Paraná. Ha conseguito un master in composizione di colonne sonore per giochi elettronici presso l'UFPR e attualmente sta conseguendo il dottorato in colonne sonore per giochi elettronici presso l'UFPR ed è professore di arrangiamento, armonia e colonne sonore.
