In order to evaluate how far the students are able to express their constructed knowledge the traditional approach of evaluation has less scope. In this regard an attempt was made to use unconventional approach of evaluating comprehension of levers and its type among class VIII students of Vadodara city. Here the researcher developed tool based on pictures related to the concept of lever and its types and thus made an attempt to allow the children to divulge their knowledge.
