The thesis presents a comprehensive and interesting analysis of the potentials for coping with industrial pollution problems in the coastal region of Cameroon; and the possible role of cleaner technologies along with ecological modernization. The methodological and theoretical framework critical discus the implications of the author's findings to provide better understanding of the issue of pollution of coastal region of Cameroon. Overall, the thesis appears a consistent contribution to an understanding of the problems and opportunities of environmental management and innovation in the local context of Cameroon.
