Computed tomography commonly referred as CT scanning has emerged as the imaging modality of choice over years.Today computed tomography represents a perfectly natural and established technology which has advanced to become an indispensable and integral component of routine works in clinics and medical practices. It is one of the most important methods of radiological diagnosis.It delivers non-superimposed, cross-sectional images of the body, which can show smaller contrast differences than conventional x-ray images. In recent years it has become the essential diagnostic tool in the field of dentistry.
