Quick dissemination of technological information from agricultural research systems to the farmers and reporting of farmers feedback to the research system has always been one of the critical inputs in transfer of agricultural technology. The information and communication support during the last five decades has mainly been conventional. This approach has not been able to reach majority of the farmers who are spread across the whole country. This gap remains a challenge for the extension systems even today. In this regard, computer aided transfer of technology is a tool for communicators to transfer the technology. Among the computers, multimedia tools are ideally suited to demonstrate complex and dynamic processes that cannot be explained easily by using conventional media and methods. Keeping this in mind, an experimental research study entitled Computer Aided Transfer of Technology in Agriculture was taken up to find out the effectiveness of IMCD among the farmers.
