This issue brings together a series of articles on issues related to teaching practice and the teaching resources used in the classroom, especially when teaching biology content. The theme of this book covers the context of new information and communication technologies in contemporary society and their application in teaching and learning processes. It also portrays the importance of solid teacher training, which leads to the full formation of critical-reflective subjects. Given this scenario, this work also presents the perspectives on the use of didactic models as a pedagogical tool for learning, thinking about teaching practices in biology. The aim is to disturb educators so that they realise the importance of an innovative teaching practice, which must be constantly reconstructed.
