Fixed prosthodontics today has set the trend of boom in clinical practice. It is that interdisciplinary field that spells success based on high degree of precision in diagnosis and treatment planning to establish a harmonious occlusion, as well as effective communication between the patient, clinician and the laboratory technician.In this dissertation an attempt is made to review the various aspects of occlusion right from fundamentals and determinants of occlusion to various factors important for re-organization of occlusion. It is very well evident that occlusion is not just static articulation of teeth but a dynamic synchrony of entire stomatognathic system.
