This book is a daring attempt to study the translation of Holy Quran in terms of conceptual semantics. The model adopted is a cognitive linguistic one in an attempt to shed light on the conceptual structures of polysemous and homonymous verbs when translated from Arabic into English. The present study is set to find out the correspondence between the conceptual structures of the target texts and the conceptual structure of the source text. It is also an attempt to identify the translations that maintain the same conceptual structure of the source text. The applicability of Jackendoff's Conceptual Structures to the translation of the Quranic texts as regards polysemous and homonymous verbs is also one of the aims of the present study. Further, the present study adopts the exegesis of Al-Tabary so as to determine the meanings of the polysemous and homonymous verbs in the Quranic texts. The translated Quranic texts are then analyzed using Jackendoff's Conceptual Structure into its conceptual categories by bringing the verb into its basic form.
