This book analyzes the conceptualizations of poverty that exist in the field of psychology, as well as the explanations that are found about its causes, characteristics and solutions.The results obtained show that the majority of psychology studies do not intend to achieve complete and finished conceptualizations of poverty.To conclude, some proposals are presented about how psychology can collaborate in the solution of this problem taking into account the contributions of Ignacio Martín Baró. These proposals are intended to contribute to the construction of a democratic, fair and supportive society where human rights are truly universal.
