Bill Lee is a professor of accounting at Sheffield University Management School. He helped establish communities aimed at advancing understanding of research methods as inaugural secretary of the British Academy of Management's Research Methodology special interest group and inaugural chair of the European Academy of Management Research Methods and Research Practice strategic interest group. He led the establishment of the "Methodology Matters" section of the European Management Review. His work has appeared in journals such as Accounting Forum, British Accounting Review, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, International Journal of Management Reviews, Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Management Accounting Research, Organization Studies, and Work Employment & Society. He has edited two important collections about research, The Real Life Guide to Accounting Research with Christopher Humphrey and Challenges and Controversies in Management Research with Catherine Cassell. He edits SAGE's Research Methods for Business and Management Students book series with Mark Saunders and V. K. Narayanan.
