He is the author of The Mexican Nation: Historical Continuity and Modern Change and coeditor of The Mexican Revolution: Conflict and Consolidation, 1910-1940 and Dueling Eagles: Reinterpreting the U.S.-Mexican War, 1846-1848, among other works.
