Autorenporträt
Bruce P. Stark is a native of Lyme, Connecticut. An Army veteran, he served two yearsin occupied West Berlin in the 78th USASOU. He graduated from Brown University,earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Connecticut, and a library degreefrom Southern Connecticut State University. In a forty-year career as an archivist and historian, he worked at a number of institutions, including SUNY Platts-burgh,Yale University Library, Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, University ofConnecticut Library, and the Connecticut State Library. He has published extensivelyon Connecticut history and crafted a number of finding aids on judicial, legislative, andmunicipal records while at the State Library, his particular areas of expertise. He devotedspecial attention to materials concerning people of color. He retired in 2009.
