This book is structured around four studies aimed at assessing the performance of current reforms in public finance management with regard to citizen participation in Cameroon. It is an independent assessment of public finance reforms under the coordination of MINFI, which aims to create high standards of budget transparency and accountability in order to improve the living standards of Cameroonian citizens. As part of these reforms, civil society has been entrusted with the role of monitoring the quality of results and improving the public financial management (PFM) system in order to promote greater transparency and accountability in public finance management. The results of the four studies were analyzed with regard to the participation of civil society organizations (CSOs) and the general public in the ongoing public financial management reform process, and in the monitoring of public policies implemented by the Government of Cameroon to improve the living conditions of its citizens. The main results of the studies are presented in the summaries of each thematic area.
