Quite naturally there is a physical attraction between the female vet and Mark, This is proven later when after an extensive search for mediation is not found. Of course the closest supplier is a fifty miles trip in darkness to the next town. Later the story involves around a villain by the name of George Hager, the giant and his confederates ... and law-enforcement.
