Constructivists view knowledge as a product of active construction by individuals acting within a social context which shapes and constraints that knowledge. The author attempts to discuss and show how the constructivist philosophy can be applied in English language teaching and learning. It is based on experiences gathered from the extensive research conducted during my postgraduate studies. The book offers teachers a good opportunity to be able to understand the paradigm shift in education, where teachers should strive to move from being knowledge dispensers to being facilitators of learning.
