The vast increasing global rate of overweight and obesity especially among adolescents which are suspected to be caused by unhealthy foods consumption and the poor dietary pattern has called for an investigation on healthy foods consumption and dietary patterns on body composition. The influence of healthy foods like whole grains, milk and diary products, fruit and vegetable were examined on body composition. The influence of some dietary patterns like breakfast skipping, snacks consumption and number of meal per day on body weight were also examined. Foods considered to be healthy for normal weight and dietary patterns that can increased body weight were reviewed in this book. Other causes of overweight were also discussed. This book has some recommendations for adolescents and parent on how to control overweight and obesity and how to maintain normal weight through healthy foods consumption.
