Intended for people of any age with a cancer diagnosis, Contemplating Courage: A Reflective Journaling Companion When Living with Cancer seeks to help people with cancer identify emotions, process feelings, share hopes, set goals, and heal along the way. A cancer diagnosis can grind your world to a halt. Despite support from friends and family, you bear the true burden of your illness which can sometimes feel isolating or lonely. Maybe you're unsure how to best communicate your hopes, fears, and wishes to your loved ones. Maybe you need help identifying them for yourself. Inspired by real conversations with her patients, PA Melissa Gorman created Contemplating Courage to offer empowerment, value, and support to people with cancer diagnoses of any type or stage. Beyond anything, Contemplating Courage is a guided journal space for people to work through the emotions and challenges that their diagnosis may bring. This deeply reflective journal invites you to explore your thoughts, celebrate triumphs, and be completely vulnerable. Contemplating Courage's pages provide comfort in processing experiences and an uncanny ability to help people discover the power they have to tell their unique story. Used as an empowering companion, Contemplating Courage uses gentle, reflective language to help navigate scenarios that may arise amid a cancer diagnosis and also reflect on what is going well. Its ultimate goal is to help people identify and understand their individual preferences and priorities for not only their healthcare, but for their life.
