Produktbeschreibung
Although Russia is a country with relatively large
impact on our business, management in
Russia is an unknown subject to a lot of people in
Sweden and other European countries. Now that Russia
has become (or is becoming) a market economy,
business with Russia is likely to become even more
frequent than it used to be during the Soviet
period. This thesis aims at giving the reader an
insight into the development of Russian management
in order to present the current view of management
in Russia. Even though Russia is now a market
economy and managers face requirements and
situations similar to those of managers in other
market economies, Russia s history and management
traditions play a vital role in the situations of
contemporary Russian managers. At the same time as
Russian managers have to adapt to the new market
economy situation they must consider aspects such as
paternalism, corporate ethics, responsibility
avoidance, informal relations, outdated technology
and so on.
Autorenporträt
When I started to study business and administrations at
Stockholm School of Economics I quickly realized that management
was the subject that interested me the most. Since I have roots
in Russia it was natural for me to go to St. Petersburg to study
and prepare this Master Thesis.
