Viviane Brachet-Marquez is Professor of Sociology at El Colegio de México, Centro de Estudios Sociológicos. Her work has been published in a number of publications in a variety of languages, including Sciences Sociales et Santé, Cahiers des Amériques Latines, Estudios Sociológicos, Diálogos, World Development, Current Perspectives in Social Theory, Contemporary Sociology, the Journal of Public Affairs, and Administraçao de Empresas. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
