Continuing Education for Chemistry Teachers: A study in the Videira Region. This work is the a priori fruit of a master's dissertation that was later improved and published in partnership. It addresses the importance of regional or national development, understanding as a prelude the need for improvements in education, both in the physical space of schools and in teaching materials, etc. However, this depends primarily on solid initial and continuing teacher training. Based on this reflection, the theme of the book was the training of chemistry teachers, and its aim was to analyse how initial and continuing training can contribute to improving the teaching practice of high school chemistry teachers in the Videira region. In order to do this, the importance and role of these professionals as critical transformers of the educational reality was highlighted, as well as current teaching challenges and the curriculum, in addition to the theory/practice relationship, based on the contributions of authors such as Tardif and Pimenta.
