A thorough exposition of hierarchy and locality, covering all the main components of contemporary syntactic theory. Examples are chosen to be easily understood, end-of-chapter exercises embed and extend knowledge, and a full glossary provides clear definitions of all the key terms. An ideal resource for instructors and intermediate-level students.
