It's characters include young Sudanese migrants in contemporary western Sydney, Ukrainian political exiles in 1980s New York City, elderly wheat farmers on the western Canadian plains, Yeshiva basketballers, Hooters waitresses, Afghanistan vets and others whose lives are formed by the fractals of history, relationships and choices. It's themes include loss and belonging, doubt and faith, solitude and connection, and the hidden shapes and sets that are around us. And various dogs and a swarm of bees.
