Produktbeschreibung
The objective of this study is to contribute to the rational management of Ramsar Sites in the Republic of Guinea and in particular the Cavally wetland which represents a site with multiple diversity. Wetlands represent one of the richest environments on the planet, due to the diversity of ecosystem services they provide for the well-being of all humanity. Despite this utility, they are threatened by anthropic actions and by climate change. In the Republic of Guinea, these threats are illustrated through the ineffective management of Ramsar Sites. This leads to the continuous degradation in quality and quantity of these sites due to agricultural exploitation and anarchic logging. The inscription of the Cavally wetland in a procedure of recognition as a Ramsar site stems from the results of this study and its importance in terms of ecosystem services and meets the criteria of the Ramsar Convention by its ecological diversity. Faced with anthropogenic pressures, the bordering countries must establish a basic management plan to take into account the conservation of its resources.
